Here are just a few parking updates:
We have adopted a staggered dismissal for the purpose of helping to keep the flow of traffic moving on Princess Avenue. We have several parents who are trying to help out. We need everyone to work on the safety of our students. Parking is permitted on the school side of Princess Avenue only. Please check out the diagram again from the Cranston Police Department that is attached. I have been advised to refrain from approaching cars to enforce this policy by the Cranston Police Traffic Division. This is the reason you have not seen me out in the street but rather at the gate making sure our students are safely handed off to an approved guardian.
We value our close knit Arlington School community and love to see families looking out for one another and go together to the playground. However, when families leave their cars in front for a period of time, this causes a backup. In order to help with this parking issue, perhaps you could utilize Meadow Avenue and Fountain Avenue if you would like to hang around at dismissal. Let's keep the traffic along Princess Avenue moving.
